A fantastic start to the week - seeing my lovely kingfishers! I saw 2 in the same place I photographed the juvenile last summer and at one time, there were 2 of them on this branch but I missed that shot. Never mind, I had a most enjoyable day watching them as they came back and forth to perch. It was beautifully sunny so I think they were enjoying the sunshine. I think the other kingfisher was a female so they must be a pair but I didn't get a shot of her. Oh well, I will try again another day!
I went back this afternoon complete with fold up stool and planned to use my wireless remote but it was sods law that the battery had gone flat! Also I couldn't find 2 of my 3 tripods and I didn't want to take my big one so I thought I would perch the camera on top of the camera bag and use the remote but it wasn't to be!
