The spring flowers in the garden are really looking their best at the moment. The rockery at the front of the house has so many lovely colours - primulas and hyacinths and daffodils dominating the scene. When you walk in the front door, the smell of the hyacinths is really lovely.
This is Sammy's grave. He was a little tabby cat that I had from a kitten and he was 20.5 years old when he had to be put to sleep. He had a stroke while we were away on holiday when our next door neighbour was looking after him but he recovered for a little while and after I brought him home from the Vets Hospital, he even managed to come out to the garden with me again. However, he had another stroke and I was so upset \I couldn't carry him in to the vets to stay with him while they sent him to sleep. My neighbour who we were friendly with at that time worked at the vets so she took him from me while I was in the car. She then brought his little body home so that I could bury him in the garden and I bought this stone cat to guard over him. I often think of that little furry creature who saw me through a lot of awful times and he used to come out of his cat flap to meet me in the garden when I came home from work. As I worked shifts when I was nursing, it could be any time of the day or night. Such a faithful little friend.
Thanks for all your kind comments and Favs - it is always much appreciated.
