This male chaffinch stopped by for a drink while I was making a chicken pie and some mince pies in the kitchen.
I did go for a walk along Wood Lane all the way up to Hill Farm this morning and the wind was bitterly cold. I saw a small flock of linnets, a reed bunting but no stonechats. The farmer has destroyed the hedgerow by the ditch which has made it rather bare and no good for nesting birds! It is disappointing.
