I don't know how these little birds manage to swallow their fish whole as they are nearly as big as they are! A good day down the brook where it was lovely and cool under the shade of the a big tree.
The big tree I was sitting under gave me the greatest pleasure imaginable! Bluey flew on the branch overhanging the brook that was about 15 yards away but of course my camera was about 50 yards away on the tripod. I did take a small point and shoot with me but it was impossible to watch where he flies onto this perch and manage a camera when he is right in front of my eyes.
It has been a real privilege to watch him this morning and then again this afternoon. The brook is my paradise!
