I have just discovered how to video with my camera purely by chance so I thought I would post a video. I have been down the brook to see Bluey and I saw him at least 5 times in less than an hour but do you think he would perch for me? he was having none of it but he kept flying past me low along the brook. At one stage he came and sat on an overhanging branch less than 15 foot away from me but of course my camera was about 50 yds away! He stood and looked at me and then flew off but it was lovely to see him again but I didn't get any photos to post.
Before I left the brook, I thought I might have a go at photographing him as he flew past and I put my camera on Live View and I just thought I would see whether the video worked and hey presto, it did! However, I had set myself a goal of getting home by 10.30 to hang the washing on the line before it rained again as it's been very windy this morning.
After carrying out a few chores, I thought I would try videoing the birds in my garden and this young female chaffinch decided to sit on the branch above the feeder for ages so I thought I would post the shortest video before she flew off and here it is. Not bad for a first time! She also let me get quite close to her as well which really helped. I hope you enjoy watching her having a little preen before she flew off.
A lovely video capture. Fav!! 😀. Btw, it woke Merlin up, and he's now staring out of the conservatory window, wondering where the noise is coming from.
