A bit of a contretemps by rosiekind

A bit of a contretemps

There has been a feeding frenzy in my garden today. The weather is as cold as I've ever felt it and we have had flurries of snow. The starlings tend to take over the suet balls that hang from the lilac tree but today Mr Woodie was having none of it and he shooed the starlings away. However, this brave starling tried to stand up to Woodie without a lot of success. Meanwhile Mrs Woodie has been on the suet balls in front of my kitchen window and soon had success at shoeing the starlings away. In the meantime, I have had lots of long tailed tits on the suet balls and peanuts when neither starling or woodpecker was about. What a busy day it's been. However, I haven't seen a brambling although I have had lots of other finches, etc.

Thanks for all your kind comments and Favs - it is always much appreciated.
