This is one of the fledglings and I couldn't believe my eyes when he perched on this low perch and my camera was pointed at the other branch. Steve had just walked up and at one time there were 2 fledglings on this stick and another in flight. I risked it by moving carefully forward to get to the camera and move it back so that I could focus on this little fellow and he didn't move! What a bit of luck. If he had been an adult he certainly wouldn't have stayed there. In fact he stayed there for about 10 minutes so it made my day.
Hide man had caused me some dismay before I took this but he had b/////ed off when I took this so I thought "up yours mate!". I'm not usually so cross but he has really got on my nerves lately. Anyway, this more than made up for it.
