I don't usually see a heron flying across the fields
I went for a walk along Wood Lane and saw this heron flying across the fields. He had been sitting fairly near the brook but when I pointed my camera at him, he took off. It seems to be the time for herons after seeing the one yesterday. I can't believe how cold it is today. I thought August was supposed to be in the season of summer! We don't seem to have had much of a summer this year.
