This one was taken today. I had just put my camera in the boot of my car when Steve called and said "look who has just gone by" and when I turned round Mrs Quacker was going along the front of people's gardens with 8 little ducklings in tow. I suspect she was going to find the river or a pond as I'm sure they can't fly yet and the only way to get there is to walk on those little legs which going 19 to the dozen!
I grabbed my camera, left the boot open with my handbag undone and went off following them down the road. Good job there weren't any thieves about! They ran off so quickly. It was funny really because she tried to take them up a rockery to hide in the plants there but they couldn't make it so she came back down again. Unfortunately, I hadn't changed my settings on the camera from last night only changed the lens so most of the pics were ridiculously overexposed. I was rather annoyed with myself that I hadn't changed them since last night. I don't know why but I'm having a problem with my camera again. This one has taken just over 12,000 pics since January or February whenever it was that the other one was replaced. For some reason the exposure meter in the screen is permanently showing that the image is underexposed even though it's not and I can't seem to use Aperture Priority or anything else really other than Manual settings which is what I usually use. I did think last night though that for the macro work, I would use aperture priority but it was not to be and I had to keep checking the exposure by looking at images as the light was fading and I needed to increase it. I haven't really used my camera much today so will have to check it out to make sure it's not going back to John Lewis
What a great shot! That's usually what happens - as soon as you put your camera away, a fantastic picture forms in front of you lol!!! Good thing you got it out and got a shot off though - so darn cute!
