The Old Geezer Band who did consist of 5 Old Geezers has now become 4 because one of them became a grumpy old geezer and has left the band. They used to play in the Wellington Arms in Bedford but the Landlady there has moaned that she can't hear News at Ten due to the noise coming from downstairs in the bar! One Tuesday night, she had over £1,000 going into her till and yet she moaned!!!! She is gradually running a good pub down which is a shame but the Old Geezer Band had finally had enough and the Three Cups were more than happy to have them as their resident band. They play mostly 60s and 70s music, Irish gigs and reels as Graham plays the fiddle and a few folk songs so they cater for all types of people and play a lot of stuff people can sing along with.
What an ungrateful Land lady !! no give and take she will one day realise who has come off worse !! Love the THREE CUPS --very attractive and I am sure the punters will enjoy the four old geezers !
Any pub proprieter who moans about a money-maker, given the way pubs are going out of business now, doesn't understand good business. It's just a shame that the pub gets run into the ground in the process. Sorry the boys have had artistic differences too but glad that they are able to keep going and have found a new venue.
