I managed to open the first gate and walked along the fence down to the far side of the field to see Beauty this morning. She seemed so forlorn and she does seem quite shy but I had a chat with her and gave her a little stroke. She looked so lonely and I felt so sorry for her as her owners just come up once a day, feed her and go again. They never seem to spend any time with her - poor horse. I always talk to her as I go up the lane and then when I come back so hopefully she appreciates the little chats I have with her. I must remember to put a carrot in my pocket now that I've managed to get through the gate.
Thank heavens she has you to have a chat with, horses need friends in the field. Maybe the owners should sell her so she can have a better time. I think a carrot would really be appreciated. Mind you, at least the owners have put a warm waterproof coat on her.
