Not a terribly good shot but it's a diary shot as I have never seen a goldcrest in Wood Lane before and I've never taken a pic of one. It's a first for me as I have seen them in Norfolk but not round here. This little bird is smaller than a wren and they are very small so I had to stand really still waiting for him to perch somewhere where I could get a shot of him. They flit about very fast so it was not easy but at least I can say I've photographed one now! It has been on my bucket list for ages. Now all I need is a nuthatch!
Well done, Rosie, I know just how tricky these can be, as you know. And very well done on getting such a good shot, first time you saw them near yours. It took me ages to get a decent shot, even though I knew they were around and I kept seeing them.
