I haven't seen a Jay for absolutely ages - probably not at all this year and although my foot was hurting and I was tired as I had been raking leaves in the garden all morning, I was so glad that I pushed myself to walk the length of the brook and back! I was rewarded not only by the kingfisher but also the Jay. I know that they are naughty birds who go after the little birds but they are very pretty!
