I put these out for the little birds

Really the collared doves are too big for these little feeders but 6 collared doves arrived at once so I think they must have told their friends to join them. In the end, I shooed them away to let the little birds have a chance.

I have one of these feeders and the big fat wood pigeons have bent it with their weight! The little ones have no chance!

They can be very annoying. Thankfully, here, they are outnumbered by little birds and obnoxious grackles and bluejays.

The dove is not in the least worried by the size as long as there is food :)

Good capture. I bought two trays to screw on my feeders to stop the bird seed on the ground. Wasn't a good decision as the collared doves and woodpigeons ate all the seeds. I feel awful shoo in them away but the little birds didn't get a look in.
