Robbie has been feeding from my hand now by actually sitting on it and he sang me a song to thank me for all the lovely suet pellets. I was overjoyed!!!! Here he is with a suet pellet in his beak which he took straight to his babies in the nest box. I am so grateful to Steve for making the nest box and placing it where I can see it all day long from my kitchen window.
It's so wonderful to see that this adorable little bird trusts you so well - it must be so thrilling for you :) You and your husband have shown that we can be at one with nature. Congratulations!! And btw, I'm excited for you but very envious :) fav for this capture and the story that goes with it.
Wonderful experience Rosie, that takes a lot of time and patience. If your Robins have chicks, they are earlier than the pair in my garden. From watching their behaviour I don't think they are even brooding eggs yet !
