Despite the bigger nut feeder, the nuts keep going down but at least I'm not filling it up every other day. Woody is still a very regular visitor and I've seen him pecking around on the ground which is unusual. I'm not sure what he's looking for so I shall have to read up about the behaviour of great spotted woodpeckers!
All the feeders seem to need regular topping up here but it's usually down to the squirrels rather than the birds. We have a green woodpecker but I've only ever seen him feeding on the ground - think it could be ants they are after.
