I always think of happy times when I see punting on the Cam as we went there about 16 years ago with the rest of the band Steve used to play with and we all went punting together. We always had a chap that liked to hang around with us and he always thought he was so good at everything and he would have liked to have been part of the band. However, we put him to good use that day as we got on board with a bottle of gin or something (I can't remember because I think I rather had a lot that day!) and we let him do the punting while we lazed back and enjoyed ourselves. Weren't we mean!!! It was such a laugh and it's a shame the band (which was a rock band) split up because the bass player and the lead player were brothers and they fell out. They still don't talk to each other to this day and they were great guys so it was a shame. Happy memories though
