This little fledgling blackbird has been calling for his Mummy all day. I couldn't find him for a while but then saw him very low down and I'm a bit concerned about his vulnerability if a cat comes calling.
He looks as if he has fallen out of the nest perhaps trying to fly! Mum will feed him eventually and you can cross your fingers that a cat won't find him!
How lovely!! Yesterday Finlay had a bird in his mouth briefly - not sure if it was a baby or not as it all happened so quickly. The bird escaped into the bushes and there was an adult screeching in the trees above. Finlay was in the garden for ages rushing in and out of the bushes but thankfully he didn't catch anything again. Hopefully the bird survived!!
