Across the fields

People keep trying for planning permission to build 50 houses on the field as you look at the church from the main road. Undoubtedly, we are against this as our village does not have the infrastructure to support them and our village school is very small. We have no doctors and only 1 small village shop/post office. It would be a shame to spoil such a lovely village as the one I live in. Am I being a NIMBY!!! I suppose I am but the village means a lot to me.
To my way of thinking that could have a very negative effect on your village. I guess a lot of people would call this progress :(

Keep up the fight, don't let money win. Once a treasure like this is compromised, its never recovered.

Before they start building on the edge of villages they need to look at all the empty properties that could be renovated!

Beautiful church - hope they don't build! Our villages will soon merge together as once they start building they don't seem to stop!

How many times do we have this problem in our villages! We are supposed to be having 600 new houses built around the edges of ours over the next fourteen years doubling the size of our village! Schools full, doctors full, no parking etc etc! That us not even taking into account the loss of good agricultural land! They aren't even affordable houses, three & four bedroom detached!! I disparity!

@happypat I know it's disgusting that we hardly have any say in all this.

@rosiekind big meeting in the village hall on Wednesday but it won't make the slightest difference!
