We have a bird feeding station in the front and the back gardens and they both need filling almost every day. we not only feed a huge number of small birds, mostly tits and finches of all sorts but also black birds, robins, jackdaws, magpies, huge wood pigeons (the size of chickens), collared doves and two squizzers. It's costing us a small fortune to keep them all in the style to which they have become accustomed. :)
A fun capture! I'm curious -- what is this? a bird feeder pole? It's snowy here -- very much so -- so I can't get out to my feeders in the back of my yard. I've resorted to throwing out food on top of the snow. Next summer I'll have to move some feeders closer to the house. I put one right outside but the birds won't use it -- perhaps too close to the house.
@joansmor Yes I have squirrel proof feeders on some of them and baffles that are very effective but I leave these three without anything. The suet pellet feeder to the right of the seed feeder is squirrel proof and he doesn’t go for the nyjer seed so it’s only one feeder and the bird table that he goes to
