This is the naughty black cat who was sitting watching the birds. I wish cat owners would put a collar on him with a bell so that he couldn't get any of the birds I attract into my garden. My cat always had a bell on his collar and consequently didn't catch any birds.
I agree with you that the cats should have a bell. Despite the fact that there are lots of cats looking for homes I don't want to upset the balance with all the birds that come into my garden. My dogs leave the birds alone
My garden is a no cat zone, they devastate the bird and lizard population. My 2 dachshunds do regular boundary rides through the garden so any stray cats are sent packing :)
Fortunately Alfie seems to keep cats at bay from my garden , or so I thought -- but today discovered next doors very timid cat sitting on my fence by the bird feeding station -- no wonder I do not seem to see many birds at the moment !!
