I discovered a new part of my city today. A little known and little used, clean and safe area. hundreds of swallows dip in and out, zipping here and there along the narrow stretch of field beneath these power lines. A corridor which runs behind a school and behind a car lot. A no-mans land per say...belonging only to the wild (animals) in the city. And after researching, I discoverved that beneath this corridor runs the portion of subway from Warden Station to Kennedy Station. Pretty neat stuff!
wowsa! you could've just told me this in a whisper. now all 365ers are going to want to go there! is that a pond? i went to that pond where i took my swan photo but the swans weren't there, only a pair of mallards and some birds that were too noisy.
@summerfield not a pond...this is just before Birchmount Rd...which I also learned has an emergency exit out from the tunnel in case anything bad were to happen down there (Birchmount marks the halfway point)...the pond is over near that furthest tower in the distance.
