This is just a stunning FAV. I agree with Lucy by the way - I love that the reflection is almost frozen whilst there is extreme action going on up above - really clever.

Thanks all :-) Am chuffed I made the PP with this as I hadn't done any panning shots for ages and had forgotten the technique so followed Lester from the start of his run to the end whereas really I should have waited for him to run directly in front of me before starting panning.

I think the reason the reflection is in focus is that my focus point was probably set too low , but it leads to an interesting effect.

The darkness was a pitchy vignette added in post processing. Thanks all for your comments and faves :-)
