"We're as mad as hell, and we're not going to take this anymore!”

This is a shot of the stage from the National Theatre’s production of Network. It’s a satire about a television network that decides to deal with poor ratings by sacking its news anchor, Howard Beale, who is played by Bryan Cranston. He deals with his impending job loss by delivering an on-screen rant which draws the viewers, and leads to him hosting his own show ranting about the state of the world until he upsets the powers that be...

It was a superb production, and fully deserved the standing ovation at the end.

On the right hand side of this shot you can see audience members who booked tickets with on stage dining - they were served meals and drinks during the play and were in scenes with the actors. On the left is the TV control room, and the screen in the middle showed live footage of the actors as they appeared on different parts of the stage.
What a fascinating idea to be part of the action and eating at the same time!
