The gun tower, Hurst Castle by rumpelstiltskin

The gun tower, Hurst Castle

Hurst Castle was built as a coastal defence in Hampshire during the reign of Henry VIII, and it was used again in World War II. This is part of the original castle, but the site was redeveloped when defences needed strengthening during the Napoleonic Wars. Charles I was held prisoner here in December 1648, six weeks before he was executed.
Nicely shot. Very atmospheric.
