Bekaa vineyard, altitude 1000m.

Looking west to the Mt Lebanon range.
We had a wonderful trip to Taanayel monastery in the Bekaa Valley where USAID are helping to provide quality Holstein milking cows and agricultural advice.
We met 9 year old Ola and some of her family who are Syrian refugees. She has not been to school during the year that they have been in Lebanon. Their living conditions are incredibly primitive, their smiles were genuine, their curiosity about me, my kids, my life was sincere, their future is uncertain at best. I was so humbled.
beautiful Ruth and you new friend has reach my heart

Interesting Ruth about the cows & such a worthwhile cause. There used to be a charity in England where you could donate either cows or heifer calves to go to third world countries. It humbles you when you read about families who have nothing & I was at there supermarket today stuffing my cupboards with food.

Beautiful landscape. That's not snow is it? You would think the elevation is too low for snow.

@grammyn Thanks Katy!I really want some filters because the strength of the light even at 9 in the morning is horrid and it's too difficult to get any sky with colour.
@mwarren365 Mike it's snow.......we had plenty this year...we skied...this range of mountains are about 2200m.....
