A broken heart..............

My processing skills need a lot of work and practice to reduce the frustration and length of time a relatively simple task currently takes.

Thanks to everyone for all recent comments and favs, you are all very generous with your time and critique.....much appreciated. :D

I am trying to think how you did this...is it a leaf in milk? Wonderfully inventive Ruth!
posted June 15th, 2012
A heart that is broken and bleeding. Superb shot.

@happypat My imagination did not stretch to milk Pat!!!! Grace found the leaf and I just placed it on a white paper and then processed and processed !!!!! Got very frustrated trying to do selective colouring (nail varnish) in Gimp, managed it in the end and not sure if it would be better without it or not!!!! :)

@ruthmouch I just thought the leaf was sinking a little round the edges in liquid & definitely better with the colour, that's what makes it so special!

This is good and it works. The selective colouring is perfect here. Creative, well composed and original, what's not to like?

Quite well done!! Very artistic adaptation of a broken heart!

I think this is great, Ruth. You are definitely way ahead of me but I have the same problem processing photos: it takes me too long and it means more sitting which bothers my back.

Very imaginative and great processing.

You know they say that red brings out the other colors..here it looks like the heart is bleeding..you did absolutel great with your processing.

Wonderful composition and selective coloring. I know what you mean about the length of time it takes when you’re just learning. My Gumby and Pokey shot took far too long1

Hi Ruth, Your efforts are well worth these results. I don't take time for processing, but will some day when I retire and have new-found hours in each day. This artwork is absolutely lovely.
