Another awesome shot. I'm having to be careful that all the favs don't go to your head so I'll ding you here for cutting top and bottom off the near fence post. I thought your alone in the cold was going to be #1 for sure
January 24th, 2014
Wow.....everything looks so snap frozen, & the sky is a gorgeous blue.

Excellent frost shot -- showing it on barbed wire conveys just how thick it is. And the lines make the shot a very effective one.
January 25th, 2014
I am amazed at how pure the white and blue are in these shots Ross. Colours I would never see here when it snows.
January 25th, 2014
You always manage to capture the most beautiful colours. Another great shot.
January 25th, 2014
Cool shot!
January 25th, 2014
Great shot and lovely frost
January 25th, 2014
Brrrr. That sky and that frost. It's freezing here and no snow. I'm not used to this bone-chilling no frost, no snow, no fun days. But I love this shot. :)
January 25th, 2014
Wow, Ross!! This is absolutely beautiful... along with all of your other photos!! You have an amazing collection... fav and a follow!!! :)

@fueast @cgoose @lucypics @moxy @tsheetz @cindy_k @m_olson @nicolecampbell @archaeofrog @skippysue @taffy @seanoneill @lisatargowska @nturman1 @kbird61 @darylo @hinkkd @lynnz @soozieqt @dgrynn Thanks for your great comments, everyone. Yes, it has been very cold, but I hardly notice it when I'm out there with a camera. The frost has been irresistable.

A beautiful, cold winter scene. I love the pristine look of the primitive looking fence.
January 25th, 2014
@jgpittenger Thanks, Jane. I nearly posted a shot that shows the entire post, and a cool shadow of the coil of wire, but in the end decided that the wire looked too small if I backed off enough to show the entire post. I appreciate your comments and critique very much. Keep 'em coming! I'm happy with # 6. The # 1 shot is much more artistic than anything I could ever do.
January 25th, 2014
Amazing. We are enjoying all your ice and frost photos, Ross. We don't see anything like them here.
January 25th, 2014
Wow, this is so gorgeous, Ross. Once again the snow sure makes it a wonderful photo. Amazing detail, love the blue sky and the wood adds a bit extra to this photo. FAV
January 25th, 2014
These pictures are just wonderful, Ross. What a great place to live.
January 25th, 2014
very beautiful! :)
January 25th, 2014
@darsphotos Thanks for the fav, Darlene. This was a difficult composition because of sun position and backgrounds. I'm glad you like it.
January 25th, 2014
@crewnelson Thank you for the fav, Annie. I love it here, but many people would find the cold too uncomfortable. BTW, I'm glad to find your name in the profile. It just seems friendlier when making comments.
January 25th, 2014
@sansjuan @aglennc @monkeykid Thanks for your comments, ladies. It was fun going out to explore on this beautiful morning.
January 25th, 2014
Mesmerizing, it looks amazing large. You make the cold seem, well, less cold.
January 25th, 2014
@stillcrappysailor Funny you should say that, because I rarely notice the cold when I'm taking pictures, but when I get in my warm truck afterwards I realize that my fingers are about to freeze off.
January 25th, 2014
Wow, not what is cold! Fabulous shot!
January 25th, 2014
Fav, love this shot, the contrast of the sky and snow is beautiful
January 25th, 2014
Wow
January 25th, 2014
I'm loving your frost and ice series - this is a good one
January 26th, 2014
@rvwalker I need to learn how to get clarity like this in my photos. The sun gets in my way a lot and I get dark or terrible photos.
January 26th, 2014
@darsphotos The sun was a problem here too. Be sure you use a lens hood to keep direct sunlight off the front glass of the lens, unless you are trying for flare. It helps to have our crystal clear air and early morning light.
January 26th, 2014
@sharrystar Thank you for the fav, Sharon. Our high elevation produces wonderful skies.
January 26th, 2014
@homeschoolmom @tesssa @soboy5 Thank you all for your comments. You are very encouraging.
January 26th, 2014
Great capture. Love these frosty pics
January 26th, 2014
@libertylady Thanks, Alice. It is breathtaking to see in person.
January 26th, 2014
I really love the composition in this capture and those shapes. Beautiful graphic shot.
January 26th, 2014
@rvwalker Thanks for the help on this. I do not have a lens hood but will try something to give me shade in my photos. It is a bit overcast today so I will not be dealing with the sun as much. Love it when it is like this outside. I love the snow so much in your photos.
January 26th, 2014
@falcon11 Thanks again, Allison. The frost transforms everything.
January 27th, 2014
wow! this is really pretty! amazing what frost will do!
January 27th, 2014
Stunning capture Ross....FAV :)
January 27th, 2014
Stunning shot - love the frost and the beautiful blue sky!! I am a little averse to barbed wire at the moment though following my recent trip over a strand of it!! Grrrr!! LOL!!
January 27th, 2014
@annbo Thanks for the fav, Ann. We have had amazing frost this year.
January 27th, 2014
@vickisfotos @pamknowler Thanks for your comments, Vicki and Pam. There are infinite combinations of frost patterns. Pam, I've had barbed wire tear up my tires, so I understand. It is even worse when you can't see where it is under the snow.
January 27th, 2014
Cold - sharp!
January 27th, 2014
@ivan The cold was pretty intense, Ivan, but I didn't feel it until I got back in the truck.
January 28th, 2014
Wonderful capture. FAV
January 29th, 2014
@cathrinemitch Thank you for the fav, Cathrine. I can't get enough of the frost patterns.
January 29th, 2014
Superb colours Ross, and the shapes and colours are so strong. Another fav.
January 30th, 2014
@seanoneill Thanks again for the fav, Sean. Once again our clear air and blue skies add impact.
