Peek-a-Boo! by rwhite

Peek-a-Boo!

Here's a pic for tomorrow (29Feb) that I took a few days ago of a squirrel peeping from behind a tree. He looks rather cute. Thanks for looking.
Tomorrow, I'll be in London for a few days, visiting a friend who I haven't seen for years. We actually met in a taxi in Crete about 26yrs ago. So, should be fun catching up and playing tourist around the capital. I'm not taking my PC, only my camera, so no pics will be uploaded till the weekend. Hopefully, I'll get some decent shots!
Ohh, great shot! I can't wait to see your London pics; it's been years since I was last there :)

Rosie,
Thank you for getting back to me. I have only had my camera since last week. I am happy overall with my camera and had to keep as close to budget as I could. My old camera was a Canon Power Shot SD 1000. It took one good macro until in its case, it rolled off my bed and it stopped clicking when taking a photo and then the flash was not working right two weeks ago. I had it for 4 years and got great photos from it. Got another Canon similar to my old one last week and it lasted 3 days as it did not want to load photos on my computer and was made very poorly so looked at my current camera, a Canon and a Nikon in the same price range and liked this one the best.
I just looked at my camera and went to SCN. There is no MACRO setting at all.
I have:
Soft Skin, Background Defocus, Soft Snap, Anti Motion blur, Landscape, Backlight Correction HDR, Twilight Portrait, Twilight, Hand-Held Twilight, High Sensitivity, Gourmet, Pet, Beach, Snow,
Fireworks, Advanced Sports shooting and that is it. I even went to you tube and they talk about using manual and the ring around the lens to shoot Macro. It did not work and I did as they said. I saw a flower blink once on this camera but it went away and never saw it again.
I will not give up but I am running out of time if I want to get a different camera. The closest to Macro on SCN is the second one I mentioned above. Thank you for your help and I am really enjoying your photos. You will see in looking at my photos the cameras that I used. I love what I am getting with this one, but really want to shoot some macro shots.
