Triffid aka Begonia

This plant needs the minimum attention for maximum performance. It loves diffused light, a reasonable amount of liquid refreshment and some healthy neglect. She, yes she is a joy and pleasure and flowers all year. These burgeoning leaves are 5cm/2" and 3cm/1.07" and will grow to at least the size of a saucer or side plate.

I like all those 'feathery' bits. She sounds a really accommodating plant.

Almost like looking at something under a microsope. The thick stalks and feathers at the end of the leaves are so interesting so close up.

Beautiful. My husband had a Christmas cactus that belonged to his first wife.. When he could no longer care for it the responsibility fell to me. I could not neglect that thing enough. I finally gave it to my niece where it flourishes on tlc.

Sounds like a tough beauty and the sort I need for a houseplant! Your focus and details are wonderful here. Superb textures as well.

You forgot to mention that it has entirely taken over the upstairs landing... that thing is more triffid than a Trifid!
