After the drought by s4sayer

After the drought

Paimpont...and much of France has been in drought since April 2017. Recent weather has relieved the situation and nowhere is it more evident than at the Grotte. Enough water for reflections and the heady colours of the decaying foliage...and sunshine ;-)

Accentuated beauty on black.
nice reflections!

Beautiful reflections and at first I saw the decaying leaves as purple flowers...

@quietpurplehaze
I was surprised to see them so purple too, yet as they add an unexpected bonus, don't think I’ll complain.

Beautiful

This is just lovely. I like the purple cast to the leaves as well and at first thought the same thing as Hazel did. I like the reflections as well.

It's still got a way to go but the situation is certainly better than it was a few weeks ago... looks more like the site we know and love.

Great image. Like the reflections and added textures from the leaves. Glad there has been some relief from the drought for your part of the world.

Very clear reflections!

I love the purple cast to the wet leaves. (I think we have 15 chickens, but perhaps 5 or 6 of them are roosters destined for the soup pot. Then there are 4 ducks, also bizzarely producing excessive numbers of eggs in the middle of winter)
