These lads were skimming stones on the other side of the lake. It's a skill I've never mastered...so it was a delight to see them choosing their stones, putting their bodies in the right pose and then the denouement. The flat stone can hardly be seen leaving the hand before you see it skimming along the water. Wonderful, a glimpse of simple things continuing to give pleasure at no cost. Society needs more of this and less, much less consumerism.
Something I haven't done in years - I'm so glad that kids are still enjoying simple pleasures... as long as they're not digging up the path to find flat stones of course!
Love skimming stones on a lake! Only, the last time we were playing, a girl friend of my daughter's aimed very wrong and skimmed the stone straight on my forehead...
I was fortunate...only took 3 shots to get a splash. Much harder to to judge the moment from the opposite bank.
Ouch! ...and this is the justification/reason for your aberrant behaviour with works of art et alia ever since;-)
