Saintes is another of our favoured haunts where we arrived this afternoon to chill in another place...and for me to do some 'proper shopping'. Having refurbished food larder and returned to camp site, saw these swans foregather and communally preen their feathers. Why not?

Yes, Gloria, it is. Having said that we tend to go to places we've been before...because we like them. Going anywhere new, different doesn’t have the same appeal. Whilst this sounds odd, we...particularly R, is heavily involved with the Abbey at Paimpont. He is P's Sacristan which involves setting up for Weddings, Baptisms and Funerals. We have 10's of 1,000's of visitors from all over the world, most of whom arrive in July and August. We both do stints to meet and greet them, though R does more, much more than me on this front. He also sits on various Church Committees. Although he's not the only one, the commitment means we have significantly less time at our disposal than most retired people! The Good News, I use the capitals deliberately, is that he's made it known that he'll stop in December 2019...his 75th birthday!
