Mitzi has always been a voracious eater. There's no reason why as she was one of 4 pups which shouldn’t require eating at breakneck speed for survival. I eventually bought her a bowl where she needed to move around it to retrieve her biscuits. She mastered (?) this in no time...and that's when I found this feeding bowl. It's a labyrinth with high enough divisions that she can no longer inhale her food and must concentrate. As she takes up some of the bix with her tongue, she deplaces others and so has to keep changing her angle to ensure some invisible rogue doesn’t get them before her. Tough life, eh!?
hahaha. The thing we do for our beloved furry members of the family! My Charlie was a scavenger when they first came to me from the rescue centre. He would scavenge up every dry crust of bread or grain of rice I put out for the birds, and hide it in his bed in case there was no more food tomorrow. He would also guard his treasures and growl and snap at anyone walking past. And he also become rather portly as he would visit all the bowls after meal over to find any spare crumbs left behind. I have eventually overcome his resource hoarding by showing him there is no more shortage. They each get their chicken and rice treat at night, but the dog biscuits are left out all day for all to help themselves as they require. The first couple of days Charlie ate until he could hardly move, but I kept topping it up. Now he has lost all the weight of overeating, and is just slightly rotund, and none of them eat more than they actually require. He has learned to trust that he will always get a meal.
Ha,ha...It sounds like Mitzi's new eating bowl is good for her digestion. I need something to moderate my obscene addiction to chocolate even though it's dark 70% cacao chocolate.

The only way is up! Have you tried 80% or even 90%? It's worth a go...because if you think it’s too strong, can't find one that you like enough to change...you'll stay with what is tested and proven for you. You'll feel so virtuous ;-). Conversely, if you like the stronger flavour more...why not? A colleague of mine used to say “I work, I deserve”. I rather like this sentiment. No try, no progress!
