I rather like how this mono shot has morphed/aged into another era. NB how few people are about...compared to the cheek by jowl beach holidaymakers now, 50 odd years later.
I'm especially pleased to have found this shot as when M was born, the medics said he wouldn't live more than 24hrs...and if he did survive, he'd be an invalid. Whilst he did have significant health challenges, he never complained and threw himself into badminton, water skiing, swimming...even swimming in the Irish Sea on New Year's Day!
Is the ochre ageing of this shot complemented on black?
Wow! Such another priceless capture showing so much history as well as your mum and brother. Obviously your dad was a keen photographer as he would have been out in the water for this one :) fav
It wouldn’t have been Dad in the water, let alone taking photos! More likely perhaps, a local photographer 'making hay' out of tourists!
