Treasure, 19 Cousins in the shallows.

This shot of my elder brother, Peter and our cousin David was taken in Ballycastle, Northern Ireland about 1950, where Bernard, my father's brother had a hotel. Meanwhile, in the Isle of Man, my father had a hotel too. Much of their business was 2 centre holidays, a week on an island and a week in Ireland.

Here, I imagine David & Peter were just messing about in the sea. For David this would have been a very different holiday as his family lived in Sheffield, Yorkshire where sandy shallows weren't and aren't the norm. Happy days for them both...born during WW2.
