Paimpont's Acrobat Tree?

Judging by the number of visitors that take shots of this tree and the nonstop clambering and play of children and adults alike upon it, it's perhaps the most popular one around Paimpont Lake. You can see that some branches sweep into the lake...underwater exploration perhaps?

I've seen lots of pictures of this tree and I've taken a good few myself... this one takes the biscuit - perfectly done. I'm proud of you Mrs S.

and yet it always looks so tortured - nature is amazing and I like this angle for the image :)

@koalagardens What's interesting - to me at least- is that the branches that dip into the water have turned into roots.

Glad it is still around and there are no notices forbidding children to swing or jump on it!

Brings to mind a book I read when I was a child. The Tree That Sat Down by Beverley Nichols.

Such great character in this tree. Very much like how you've shown how it is grasping for the water.

A lovely image of an amzing tree. Love how it seems to be bending over backwards reaching it's arms up to the sky
