We have neighbours next door and more across the field, both homes have hens...and hens' eggs. These are from hens 'across the field'...of all breeds and colours, about a dozen + of them. When Marie proposes eggs, ‘ Yes, please' is my immediate reply. I'm fascinated by the green egg, never seen such before ;-). Their size, colour and flavour are remarkable ;-)
Love the size, colours & different variety here....eggs are such a great source of goodness & make lovely meals...we eat a lot of eggs. You are so lucky to have such a fresh & local supply. We got rid of our hens last summer as our buyers didn’t want them...worse thing we ever did!
It was amazing to me the first time I saw the variety of colors and sizes in chicken eggs. My primary exposure to different kinds of poutry has been at the county fair and there is no egg display there. You're blessed to have a dozen fresh eggs like this.
