The third in the series of these great shore birds. This one was feeding along the shore by a beach about 10 minutes from my house. It let me get relatively close to it but luckily I had my 500mm on my camera (without a tripod). Check out the other two photos of this bird in my other albums. Please know that I really enjoy all of your comments & views and I really appreciate favs.

Oh Myrna, what a great shot. I spend long summer periods by the shore, and feel familiar with beautiful birds like this one. I am only missing your 500mm... that must be wonderful. Mine goes to 200. Love the great focus of the bird.
@anazad511 It is a 200-500mm lens and I have it on my camera more than I have any other lens. It is heavy and I should use a tripod more but am getting pretty good at holding it still on windy days. @samjohn Thanks for the fav @sunnygreenwood@tamsg4 Thanks you two, really appreciate your comments.
