Bokeh

My Get Pushed Challenge - to shoot some object (your choice) with a bokeh lights background.
Second attempt so any comment or critique will be welcome.

Beautiful sparkling lights! And the dark background works great here. I have not tried this yet - very inspiring :-).

Also I think more lights or coloured lights would help or improve it.

Nicely composed! If you want bigger bokeh shapes, move the lights backk further (or the cup and your camera). The distance between your camera and cup is just right; moving the light source further away from the cup (or opening your aperture as wide as it will go (i.e. f/2.8)) will increase the bokeh size!

@grizzlysghost Thanks for the advice Aaron,but unfortunately my lens only allows for f/5 and I'm pretty much as far from the lights as I can go (unless of course I relocate!). My fairy lights are also seriously small and the borrowed xmas lights did not want to work, so plan B shall have to follow!
