Get Pushed Challenge: I have been doing this challenge on and off...
Hi sally in its own right it is a nice photo, it has great texture but I can't see any tint of colour in this, only shades of grey, so it doesn't really qualify as split-toning. how did you process it?
@kali66 I followed the tutorial on split toning for PSE that I found through one of your links. Played around with hue, saturation and levels but could not seem to get a hint of colour. I will have another crack at it over the weekend. I wasn't happy with the result and am happy to get your feedback.
not sure, but there is a colorise tick box in the hue and saturation dialogue box in PS, if it is not ticked it stays b&w. This only gives you one colour though, so be sure to go back and check the tutorial to help you.
It definitely has a wide range of grey tones and textures. I'm not sure what the difference is between split-toning and selective coloring (I could probably take a guess) so I'll look forward to seeing the result of your second try. Nice composition though!
I know the feeling - the photo-inspiration comes and goes with us all.
I'm no expert, but sometimes when an effect isn't working for me I have to check what layer I am on.
