Had another great day assisting when some blind folks came to ride the horses. Only the rider in the center is sighted, both other riders have partial vision. it is such a privilege working with these folks and the horses
I have noticed that I seem to have lost my exif details! This picture was taken on 8 November at 10:35. I have done some adjustments in Colour Efex.
I'm from Tulbagh, Western Cape, South Africa. Tulbagh is a small farming community.
Get Pushed Challenge: I have been doing this challenge on and off...
Great shot! That must be such an amazing experience for them! I see that the horses are tied together- do they instinctively follow the sighted rider that way?
@olivetreeann Ann they are not tied together. John (the guy in the middle) is leading both of the outer horses, using the ropes which are attached to head halters. The horses are all very well schooled and can work in close proximity to one another. The blind rider has control of their own horse using the bridle and reins. The lead rope is just to ensure that the horses don't march off somewhere on their own!
