The farm where I go horse riding recently adopted this beautiful girl. Her name is Christmas, sometimes known as Miss X. I've adopted the name Xmas (pronounced x-miz). She has lived a hard life as a cart horse not used to open space and abundant food source. She arrived with a reputation of being quite nippy. Well since arriving and settling in with the herd her sweet side has come to the fore. Very little nipping has been seen and she is getting used to being handled and touched by people. Hopefully her trust in the human race is on the up and up!
I'm from Tulbagh, Western Cape, South Africa. Tulbagh is a small farming community.
Get Pushed Challenge: I have been doing this challenge on and off...
Who doesn't love a story with a happy (happier) ending. Glad to know she's coming around. She's a lovely horse and her white spot looks like the Star which led the Wisemen to Bethlehem.
So glad this big gal has found a loving home. I hate to see the way those cart horses are treated and how they live. We have those carts here too.......... Don't like them.
