Flock of Seagulls by salza

Flock of Seagulls

Went through to Lamberts Bay on the Cape West Coast. There were so many seagulls and terns on the rocks and flying around, it was amazing!

I am well behind on commenting, will hopefully catch up over the next few days!

What a coincidence! And such bad timing on my part for uploading! Your capture of the gulls is fantastic, Sally! It must have been a glorious day on the West Coast!

Nice capture. I like the overall exposure and hues of the sky. UV filter?

Fabulous capture, wow!

Fab. They say if you can't get a single bird you should get loads. I might have straightened the horizon and cropped a little more off the sea (less distracting).

that is a major flock, Don't worry about the comments. I think as we have more years in (to 365) it is harder to do.

@adambralston no UV filter, tweaked levels slightly in lightroom otherwise basically sooc.

Lovely framing of the whole flock! Jane Pittenger recently pointed out to me that my horizon wasn't level in one post, so I guess I should point that out to you as well, not meaning to criticize: only to improve! Just the necessary rotation and recrop in PSE and it's perfect! I love this picture and I don't find the rocks or sea too much or disturbing at all...places the whole scene in perfect context! Well done!

@kwiksilver It was rather pleasant! Thankfully not quite as warm as it was at home.
@pennyp @ericdibosco Thanks for pointing out my horizon line, I have sorted it out!
