Well done making this work, very original!

This really is cool. Nice composition. Was this shot in RAW mode Sally? The exposure seems a little underexposed? Might just be my screen.

Interesting idea well executed

Original shot. Good job you didn't sneeze during the photo session.

Lovely shot, how many times did they all tumble down?

@adambralston I do shoot in RAW. This has been edited to hell and back. My background was a supposed to be a soft pink but it looked just awful so it had to go!
March 13th, 2014
@leonbuys83 I had one collapse but then I changed the surface and had no further problems!

I love the idea and composition but think if there had been more light put onto the background all the wrinkles etc would disappear, not always possible though.

This picture shows exactly why I haunt the streets and stalk people: I have no imagination to come up with things like these!

Now that is different to the majority of pencil shots. Nice idea. Cool.

Fab composition and color. How you did that I don't know!!! Wonderful.!

@eyesmile Gena, you just stack the pencils in a 'v' shape, with points overlapping. I used a long shutter speed instead of adding artificial light.
March 14th, 2014
@unit8 Paul, I never thought to add any artificial light behind the pencils. The background is a sheet of tissue paper in a soft pink colour. I increased my shutter speed to get a better exposure. I tried the on camera flash but didn't like the result. I may experiment with your idea over the weekend.

@ericdibosco Lol, I rather trawl the internet looking for inspiration than go out and attempt any form of street photography! The thought alone hives me the heebie jeebies :-)

What a patience - I thought you glued them together :-). You created a beautiful structure - very eye-catching.

Very cleverly done!

How many times did they fall down before you got the picture? Very creative.
