Gables

Some of the gables to be seen along the historic Church Street, Tulbagh.
The first two are from houses in the street and the last one is the old church.
I was going to ask if there was any Dutch influence in this town but then I read the note with your other gable shot. Lovely detail here.

Their preservation reminds me of the Victorian town of Cape May. It's wonderful to see them preserved as a neighborhood. And the detail work on these buildings is just as beautiful. They look so striking against the blue sky.

@gooner46 Chris the church (picture on the right) was built in 1795. I cannot tell you offhand when the others were built. I shall try to find out. I think that there is info available on them, I must just go and have a look!
