@mikegifford the painting of the yacht is finally finished. Rather different to your original shot. Thanks for allowing me to use some artistic licence.
@brigette I loosely copied the big yacht and the bouy in the foreground from a photo taken by Mike in the San Francisco Bay. I have added the other yachts and left out the background. It was fun doing it.
Fabulous shot and painting. Photography and artist, so many strings to your bow sally. Had a look at the photo that you got inspiration from too and you have done Mike justice with this artwork. Beautiful.
Fav for sure! Fabulous! I'm really thrilled about the entire process here...from taking the ferry to San Francisco, capturing the boat on the water, and having you make a painting! Very cool story for 365 momentum!
@mikegifford thanks Mike. It is quite cool that there is a story behind the painting. Maybe I should write a blurb and attach it to the back of the painting.
THAT is fabulous! Is this 365 momentum that Ross set into motion not absolutely mystical in the way many of our lives have become interwoven?! I'm in awe of your multi-talents (as I recall a painting of a zebra you did as well...), and having (most amazingly) had the pleasure of meeting Mike, he from San Francisco and Ken and me, from south of Los Angeles, gathered with other photographers of 365 in San Diego (where was I going with this sentence?!!!) Well, Mike's totally wonderful and very giving with his expertise, so I'm glad you've honoured his work with this painting! @mikegifford (right, Mike? ; )
