For my get pushed challenge from Tracy @tracys - I challenge you to a low-key portrait of a person.
This was not an easy challenge for me as I really don't do people. I don't have any willing models to call on so I have to resort to the dreaded selfie! I also do not have an off camera flash and all my moveable lamps do not have very bright light!
I'm from Tulbagh, Western Cape, South Africa. Tulbagh is a small farming community.

Good for you Sally! I know how hard it is to do selfies when you don't like them! It was very windy last night and there were some tornado warnings close by which extremely unusual for our area. Lots of thunder and lightning too- but no trees down and we only lost power for about 10 secs! So we're fine- thanks for the concern!
Sally, this is wonderful! How delightful to finally "meet you"! You've done a wonderful job with available light! On one of my earlier "sick days", I asked my Ashley to sit next to the lamp in the living room, and I was so happy with the results. You've achieved a beautiful result...and not all that dreaded at all!
Ditto what they all said. Wonderful self portrait. I can relate to all of what you said about models in short supply, and dreading "selfies" -- also less than ideal available lamps. Bravo! Great results!
