Blending in

The Spotted Eagle Owl blends in with his surrounds. We are still being blessed by the presence of a pair of Spotties.

@30pics4jackiesdiamond Jacky this is what Wikipedia has to say - 'The spotted eagle-owl is a medium-sized species of owl, one of the smallest of the eagle owls. Its length is 45 centimetres and its weight is from 454 to 907 grams. It has a 100 to 140 centimetres wingspan.'
@fbailey they are nesting, we are not 100% sure exactly where the nest is but it is definitely close by.
@pplutz they are nocturnal birds so he was asleep and gave me the evil eye for disturbing him by opening the gate.
@glimpses they are most often seen to be standing on only one leg.
@onewing he wasn't impressed that I had opened the gate nearby and glared at me.
