for your get pushed challenge, how about trying out something new in photoshop... one possibility is using the dispersion effect as per this tutorial (I don't think you've done this before but i might have missed it)... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4xgOWWfurpU

if that example doesn't work for you, then please select a different PS tutorial of something you haven't tried before, or have tried, but want to improve on...

@northy thanks for the challenge. A dispersion effect is something that I tried years ago and failed dismally, so definitely worth having another go.
